Please note the following guidelines:
      1)     The test area must include at least one chapter/lesson representing one genre each: Poetry,          Prose and Drama.
     2)     All these genres are to be assessed proportionately.                                                                       
     3)   Do not ask questions for less than a full mark
    4)     All test task items, except for HOT questions=4 marks, carry 1 mark each.
    5)     Please note that the CAS band may vary from Grade I to VIII
    6)     This test specification matrix is meant for grades 1-5 in general. Teachers are therefore,        suggested to pick and choose the most relevant test tasks and items that best cater to the text genres they have practiced in the class.
