It is my pleasure to recommend Ms. Sajja Dahal for admission to the faculty of Management at your university. I have known her for the last four years since she came to the Secondary School here at GEMS School She has distinguished herself by showcasing an excellent orator in herself, besides the meticulous diligence and confidence in her regular assignments. It would not be an exaggeration to rank her in the top 3% of students that I have taught in the past five years in respect of her debating and writing aptitudes.
Frankly speaking, Ms. Dahal is a brilliant student and has good analytical skills. Her leadership qualities as school prefect have demonstrated her ability in persuading her peers and juniors to partake in the curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular events have been instrumental in leading Emerald House atop others. Her candid and friendly nature is another catalyst that would enable her to assimilate into the new culture and society.
She has excellent communication skills. Her written work is both clear, concise, and coherent to read. She has demonstrated her oral articulateness in the discussion sections that were an integral part of the language course and the competitions like Debate, Recitation, Panel Discussion, and the like both in Nepali and English languages.
Ms. Dahal has proved by far proficient in applying the course material in understanding and analyzing the problem situations to easily seek the solutions. Despite her birth and bringing up in a closed society, she has always explained her views very confidently, concisely, and gave supporting arguments that were both clear and persuasive. She has also demonstrated good team working skills in group assignments.
As an individual, Ms. Dahal is a polite, honest, and industrious student with a pleasant personality. She is ambitious and committed to her purpose. She went well beyond the course requirements in the quantity and quality of her English Language project, putting in a lot of extra research and analysis. Throughout the course, she demonstrated great resolve and initiative. She was not only interested in and motivated to learn the material, but put great work into assimilating it to her own experience and developing her own ideas about each of the issues that we discussed. Ms. Dahal is a very good candidate for graduate study at Harvard University. Her work in language learning and leadership initiatives suggests that she would greatly benefit from the opportunities for intellectual development provided he goes through a sustained period of graduate study.
She has proven herself to have the perseverance and initiative, and intellectual creativity necessary to complete an advanced graduate degree. I would therefore highly recommend Ms. Dahal. Given her performance in my class is a good indication of how she would perform as a graduate student, she would be an extremely positive asset to your program.
