Please note that all the tasks and items prepared below are authentic materials and will be used as they are in your terminal, Pre SEE and SEE Preparation Examinations. You are therefore required to sincerely complete these tasks on a daily basis. Parents are kindly advised to be observant and with their children monitoring and supervising their studies and most of these contents contain a number of materials on the internet, especially YouTube. Just make sure that they do not get digitally distracted.
Scene Setting: Study this sample paragraph and the essay and watch the video on the link provided below and create your own text as instructed below.

1. Observe what the teacher says to his students.
1)  “Brijesh, put your book down”.
2)  “Leki, give me your homework.”
3) “Ravi, let the boys clear up this mess.”
4) “Shakti, Wait for me.”
5)“Bishnulal, finish your classwork first.”

2. The principal asked Kala to report what the English teacher was asking his students to do. Now match the teacher’s commands with how Kala reported them. [5]

1) The teacher asked Bishnulal to finish his classwork first.
2) The teacher asked Leki to give him her homework.
3) The teacher asked Ravi to put his book down.
4) The teacher told Shakti to wait for him.
5) The teacher said that the boys were to clear up that mess.

3. Now read each sentence below, and write a new sentence with the same meaning as in the example. You may use any pronoun as the reporter. [7]

Note: The words in italics are called reporting verbs.
Example: “Don’t leave me alone.”
Gita told Amrit not to leave her alone.
