Note Taking Tips

Note Taking

Note taking is a very significant skill for professionals  engaged in different walks of life.It is even more important for students and journos who are constantly engaged in learning and sharing views, opinions, and knowledge across a huge multitude all over the world.
As it is not possible for every learner to remember everything that our teachers, presenters, public figures, politicians, and  teachers or professors deliver at different forums or in the classrooms, we can always use these simple tips to take notes and develop them into full fledge texts later at our own convenient times.
Following are some of the tips I used to apply when I was a student at senior school and my university as there were no gadgets and mobile phones those days. However, manual note taking is still a part and parcel of the academic culture all over the globe. One cannot simply ignore or forget it. Above all, all final tasks and tests ranging from academics to gigantic manufacturing industries start with little drafts. That is what note taking is all about.

1. Listen to the lecturer carefully and jot down the topic of the discussion at the top of your notebook page.

2. Pay heed to the content words, data and facts and jot them down using shortened/contracted words or abbreviations/acronyms.

3.Use the symbols and other marks of indications given in the following link.

4. Do not waste time writing full sentences and making the best use of mechanics, it is not your final tasks.Write only the phrases, information and data using the minimum possible words.
