Please note that all the tasks and items prepared below are authentic materials and will be used as they are in your terminal, Pre SEE and SEE Preparation Examinations. You are therefore required to sincerely complete these tasks on a daily basis. Parents are kindly advised to be observant and with their children monitoring and supervising their studies and most of these contents contain a number of materials on the internet, especially YouTube. Just make sure that they do not get digitally distracted.
1.     Scene Setting: Listen to the videos provided on the links below before you attempt the given tasks.
Task I: Read the following excerpt from the story above and report it in a short paragraph. [5]
a)     'How are you?’ I asked.
b)     ‘I’m not in hilarious spirits,’ he answered.
c)     ‘Is it Tom again?’ He sighed.
d)     ‘Yes, it’s Tom again.’
e)     ‘Why don’t you chuck him? You’ve done everything in the world for him. You must know by now that he’s quite hopeless.'
2. Sangeet reported the conversation to his teacher. Observe how he reported it and compare it with your answer.
The narrator asked how he was. George replied that he was not in hilarious spirits. The narrator asked if it was Tom again. George answered positively. The narrator advised George to chuck him. He also explained that he had done everything in the world for him. He added that he had to know by then that he was quite hopeless
